Those who have seen the Dinsey/Pixar movie CARS (and everyone should see it) will recall that the town on the all but abandoned two-lane road was called Radiator Springs. It happens that the actual town of Holbrook, AZ was the model for Radiator Springs. And we stayed in one of the wigwams! At a local eatery the Pixar crew is fondly remembered. They spent several weeks being inspired by this most uninspiring way stop on the old Route 66. The concrete wigwam turned out to be surprisingly comfortable.
