The drive from Flagstaff to the Tucson area took us through a variety of landscapes and an amazing 25-degree temperature increase. By the time we reached Saguaro National Park it was 91. Finally, T-shirt weather! We are camping in a cactus forest for a few days, learning about Sonoran Desert ecology and listening at night to various howls and grunts from the darkness.
